How to configure Virtual Dj for live streaming with Shoutcast.
In this tutorial you will learn how to configure Virtual Dj with a shoutcast streaming server. We are using the 4.2 version, but this tutorial also work with older version (screenshot can change).
1) You must have Virtual DJ install on your computer and fully working. You can download a trial version here : http://www.virtualdj.com/download.html
2) Download the LAME Encoder here: http://www.second-life-streaming.com/download/lame_enc.dll
3) Copy this file to Virtual Dj Directory (in most case C:\Program Files\VirtualDJ). In some version of virtualDj this file is already present, but i recommend to replace by this one.
4) Start Virtual Dj
5) Clik on the record button

6) Choose "Broadcast "

7) Then "Config"
8) Now we have to configure shoutcast server detail. Look at the screenshot to view how to configure.
9) Now click OK and "Start Recording" stream will begin when you start your mix

10) You should see a message telling you server statuts and time diffusion.

That's all, if you follow all step it should work.
To hear the music in your SL Land, you need to enter the URL of the stream.
Right click on your land, choose about land
Click on the media Tab, and fill the Music Url field like this : http://ipserver:port
example:
Ip adress = 213.251.185.209
Port = 8140
Music URL = http://213.251.185.209:8140

and click play
You should hear your own audio source on your Second Life land.
